Things are not going my way, the third member I got turned out to be no good and time is running out for the Funny Car Nationals (Aug. 7) so I have to back out of that event. Will get it together soon for the Woodward dream cruise (Aug. 21) and Funny Car Reunion (US 131, Sept. 11)

Sorry Jeff about the set back, but we will look for you at Martin to put on a good show and you will have all the bugs worked out by then.

Oh MAN! i feel your pain- i'm fighting my build right now, and i know what your' going through when a simple repair fights you every step of the way...

Take a deep breath, relax and it will come together for you. Hang in there- You'll get it together and she'll be a damn fine car!

The 4 speed has got me down. Got it all together for the Woodward dream cruise. Drove it around a bit, working good. Took it to the track last weekend. First run I stumbled off the line, hit it a second time for my first wheels up launch.

Thanks Dave for the pix. (daveskustomkreationz.com)
    Yes I did buy prints.
Came back around for a better launch @ 3000 RPM and it blew the driveshaft out.

Also broke the pinion snubber again so I think that system of axle controll is not working. If and when I get back to the 4 speed I will have to come up with a better system. In the mean time it's back to the slush box.

Patch the hole in the floor.

Well Jeff at least the drive shaft is good and not twisted, talk with Tim at Martin he had some ideas for you to kick around with the 4 speed and you know those guys have seen it all.

I guess I should update this thread. I put the automatic back in last fall for the final gasser wars at Milan. One run and blew he drive shaft again, so this spring I put the 4 speed back in, got a good drive shaft, straightened and balanced, then discovered that the pinion of the 4.56 was bent, changed to a good 3.50, then when I pulled it out of the garage I discovered that the 4 speed was making bad noises (blew something when the drive shaft went out). So at this point I have to give up on the 4 speed, put the automatic back in for the Detroit Dragway Reunion. The car ran great, smoother than ever but slowed to 12.0 due to the gear ratio, but very consistent so I will go with this combo for a while. Next Gasser War at Milan June 25.
