Man, there sure are a lot of prison / sexual deviant type references in this thread.......as long as you aren't re-incarcerated, a driveshaft safety hoop should do the trick though....

still need 80 more feet of tubing to stick in it, there are provisions for driveshaft safety, still have to build fuel saddle tanks that slip in under the seat, long way to go... its only been a year and a half on this thing

Hey, is that front axle from an A or a T? I have one from a T that I'd like to use on a project like this one. Are there any hub/brake updates for a T axle that would make it usable?

I have looked for this project here on the Hamb a couple of times, glad to see you are making progress!
I haven't seen if you are planning an aluminum body or what? I worked in 'tube & rag' aircraft for more than a decade, you could always do a fabric skin!

I build everything outside, shops are to confining... heaters are for pussys. final skin will be in steel... although doping some fabric sure would be the cats ass, learned how to do it a little on an old piper, easy touch up..... hmm. then i remember the guys cars that burned to the ground at bonneville way back when. ordered the tubing today, mount the 5 core german radiator tomorrow, prolly easier to push it around if its driving.

Well since this came back up, the racer is slowly going together with all the other junk, while i was building my barn house, the car was at a friends shop thats prone to flooding, welded a tow bar to the front of it and got it barely in time, it did get wet, most of the final welding is complete, found a valve cover, its ready to fire, just have not devoted any time yet..... Wanna see?

Also my meds keep me grounded. I still have secrets though, lots of them, one of my kittens is missing, plus i keep plastic decoy ducks in the new pond. The greatdanes keep pulling them out though, everythings a pain in the ass, got my coupes magneto to fire and drive good so i took it all apart, thus ive missed the drags

I saw this at Vantage too! I've got one question though, How do the bugs treat you when you're flying along at 60mph??? This car is awesome!
