Technical 40/41 Ford P/U

Will a 40-41 Ford 1/2 ton with a SBC accept a T5 trans without splitting the wishbone? Thanks

 

You will need to run a spacer on the wishbone ball, but it will work. My dad did this on his 40 coupe.

 

I put a 5 spd behind a 55 Desoto hemi that was previously adapted to the early Ford 3 spd and didn't split the wishbone or use a spacer on the wishbone ball.
