    Hello,

A yellow 1940 Ford pickup truck was seen sitting in a coastal parking lot in a field of green, black cars, grey cars and several blue cars sitting in their respective places. It not only stood out due to it being a cool hot rod, but the Yellow color stood out from the far away entrance and as we got closer. It started to look even better.

We had seen a yellow 1940 Ford pickup in another coastal city, but it was hard to compare the two. They both were the same color and had mag wheels. It could have been the same truck, one was parked in a driveway with traffic whizzing by and this one leisurely taking its time enjoying the pandemic ocean view sights. (with the owner, a comfy soccer chair just steps away)

The day was one way to clear our heads, see the deep blue ocean and enjoy some peace during these hectic pandemic days. It was the same idea the owner of the cool, Yellow 1940 Ford Truck had as he seemed to be enjoying this nice day for some leisure time.

After we did our thing on the empty walking trail below, the last goodbye to a cool sight in a coastal parking lot was something we can now move into our memory banks. Nice job on the truck and it was envy at first sight... YRMV

Does anyone know this 41 Ford? It has a lot of period correct kustom touches, along with a 368 Lincoln engine. It came out of the LA area.

That is a 58 283, but am going with '62 model. I just don't like the offset screws in those early heads. But they have to be Corvette covers !

I can't wait to see it done Marty. I'd say your painter earned his wages.

Perfect stance, good gaps, and sunburned paint, great truck .

I don't think I ever posted this one up of my '41. That's a Kansas sunset! Truck currently sitting and waiting on me to pull the leaking rad and getting it fixed. I also had the hood louvered and that went south because the hood had a ton of bondo in it. Still thinking on what to do to salvage it. Will probably just go hoodless for awhile..........
