  4. The guy with a '58 Chevy is asking about land yachts? I love the 40 Buick. Don't think I have any pics though. Do a search.

I own a 41-Pontiac and this Buick drawn by Janne Kutja is my #1 inspiration so far. Eventhough it´s not a coupe and it also seems to be -41... :)

Guys, lighten up! We're here to have some fun and exchange ideas and knowledge.

Love the old cars. The guy looking for the pictures (GMGrunt) and myself are going to FL to pick up a 40 Buick Coupe over Thankgiving weekend. One owner as far as I know. Nats North this year there was a killer 4o Buick coupe. Not traditional but a tremendous amount of time put into it.
Besides, Whos to talk about land yachts, for gosh-sakes the '58s been called the Pacific Princess more than once.

That's one of my favorites. I love 41 Buicks & I especially like the way that one's chopped. If I'd have seen that chop before I did mine, I probably would have went in that direction. Probably wouldn't have looked nearly as nice on a 40 chevy though.

Haven't seen it around lately though. Maybe because I don't get out enough myself?

I LOVE the '40 Buick coupes! There was one lurking here in Toledo that could maybe have been bought for less than $2,500. I had about three too many projects lurking in my garage, but I'll always regret not snagging that Buick.

The car that GMgrunt bought had not seen the light of day since 62 when it was put into that garage. Gosh it was solid. Stopped at Don Garlits on the way back and he spotted it and looked it over pretty close. Asked where county 15 was. When he found out there was an extend family attachment he thought it was pretty cool. I think he would have liked to have it too.
Buicks are cool rides. There's quite a few that I'd like to have. O'course I'd have to move a few things to make room.
What did you end up with?

This looks more like a '49 Buick Sedanette,.....there's one close to me, $4k and its mine,...stored in a barn for about 30 years, no rot, SOLID! I'm seriously thinking about it,...GOD only knows I cant afford it!!!

Hmmmm,.....now if I can just find an extra 4 grand laying around!!!

The one I bought is a project. It has a Camaro clip. I want to put a big Nailhead in it. Once I close on the new house I will be picking it up.

'39 buicks have been catching my eye lately.

  27. I'm picking one up (40 or 41) as soon as the snow melts. I haven't seen it, but the guy said it's pretty nice. It was rolled over and the top is squished down a bit, but he said that's all the damage there is... other than a broken engine mount. It probably rolled in the snow way back when. I guess the straight-8 still runs and everything is all there.
I can't wait to get it home... I've wanted to do a 'shine runner for awhile and this might be the ticket.

Here's one I found nearby -- guess it's a '49 though. Still has the enginebut who knows. I think the guy would part with it for under $800
