Not at all familiar with the brakes on a 40 so looking for some direction here. I am helping a friend who lives in a remote area of AU that is building a sedan at his farm. He has inquired about where to order new drums. There seems to be a lot of vendor choices but we don't wish to get sideways with this as shipping and delivery time is excessive usually.
Then there is the subject of wheel cylinders as I am to understand that there is a small and large unit.
So we would like some advice from others that can address the quality of drums that are available and where to get the best bang for our money.
    Pics of the project..

Bowling Brothers also gives you the Dorman stud part number to use after you hole saw the originals out. IIRC, you use a 5/8ths hole saw

For my ‘42 PU I had, I bought all rebuild parts for wheel cylinders and master cylinder from Mac Van Pelt.

  4. Or get the repo Lincoln drums. I've bought 2 sets of stock repos from different vendors in the past and both sets were warped. I cut them and ran both sets, but I had to cut quite a bit off before they were straight.

  5. Lemme guess, the furball is security, right?
