Has anyone done this and found with a Chevy V8 you have to lower the stabilizer bar to clear the lower rad hose? CE suggests that this may need to be done. Does anyone have a neat lowering block they have used. I found that the 40 frame is not square, measurement shows a 3/4 inch difference side to side! Measured on my car and a 44,000 mile original undamaged car. It appears that the final shock bolt in can not happen until the car is at fully loaded curb height. When doing this has the stabilizer bar link, considering the lowering of the bar, had to be shortened also? Wisconsin Micko and '40 Ford Deluxe Tudor. Many thanks.

Yes, I have a spacer about 3/8 in. thick . The sway bar is still very close to the lower radiator connection...about 1/8 in. I have a 90 deg. fitting installed in that location. My radiator was built by Custom Auto Radiator in NJ. I think the spacer was supplied by CE with the roll bar kit.

I am dropping 2 inches, using 1/8th inch rectangular box iron. ( 5 inch wide 2 inch tall 1 1/2 wide) I run a stock but 3-4 inch dropped axle with '40 Ford teflon lined spring. Also have a fan shroud to contend with and auto trans cooler lines on Pass side. Scrapped the piece in the photo for the dimensions above. Could not get fingers in easily to set the bolts. Probably saw you in St. Paul!!!! Many thanks.
