George, I have a bad back problem that keeps me away from a lot of shows.
I just can't be on my feet for very long, so if I was somewhere I would be sitting.
I've been doing rod runs and shows since '74, and still get to Puyallup and Yakima most years, but park and sits with all the new cars that show up just don't do it for me.

I know what you mean. My '47 Ford coupe, which is the factory Barcelona Blue (though most people tell me it's Washington Blue, which it is not) looks darker in photos than it really is, almost black unless the sun is really bright

Cloudmist gray is dark most cars have been repainted with base clear which makes it much lighter . This is supposed to be the original ppg mix formula for parts per quart cloudmist grey # 30027- 1939-1941 ford,DMA:311=110.0,317=130.0,358=220.0,384=320.0,310=230.0. I havn't personally had this mixed but it's from a old ford ppg color chart.

    Hope this is some help,
    Mason

That's why I try to find the color Im looking for in a modern code. When I was trying to find a usable code for Washington Blue I found several references to old codes but none that worked out to a modern B/C system. I now scour thru the color map books and chips till I find what I'm looking for in a modern paint code. Many of the "fleet colors" are very close or the same as these old looking colors.
