Good question that, where are the 40 Fords?...the last few and quite a few of the others have been 39's( and a couple of 39 mercurys) including this 39 standard...I wish I could afford another .

I cannot believe I sold this one almost 3 and 1/2 years ago.
But at least a fellow HAMBer has it, and most likely is a better caretaker of it than I was. :D

It actually LOOKED even better when I sold it than the above photos show. It had new BLACK paint and a set of Hunley Acuff recovered running boards on it. New interior too ... Heres Vic getting the keys ... He is the guy SMILING with the sunglasses ... I am the guy NOT smiling and having seller's remorse.

I had 32 3W fever, and the 40 had to go so a 32 3W could be bought

thanks guys this turned into a pretty cool thread. one of my favorites is Lee Pratts gold olds powered deluxe that was on the cover of Rodders Journal #13, I used to see him driving it around LA in black primer before he painted it, and i always liked that car.

As you know ... the wife was really upset I sold it ... she wanted me to keep it. I guess it just goes to show what most of you already knew ... She is smarter than I am

that last flamed one with the blower and the caddy wires is kinda cool. makes me wonder if it has a cad mill under that blower.....I really like the hambers car that is black with the copper wheels too. the satin dark green chopped one a few pages back has a good look to it for a custom. these things can be done in so many ways, thats why I like em, I love seeing the B&W pics from the lakes of the ones they used to race too.
