I know air is taboo on here. Regardless has anyone found a company that makes a good fitting 40 Ford ash tray vent? My outside vent hoses shoot down on the ground and are worthless.

I think it would be fun to covert the ash trays to doors that open to reveal your air ducts. They could open toward the doors so they help direct the air.

Old Air Products has some, I have not used them.but they look like they might work ok.

  4. Gary, I used the type of vents that Old Air sells years ago on 2 of my 1940 sedans, and they worked great, The Old Air Products list them HERE . HRP

Early or Late dash? I would think an early '40 dash would be easier to incorporate some hidden vents.

I really did not want to add vents "into" the dash so I installed these units from Vintage Air under the ash tray.

I possibly have a pair of those from Vintage Air. Possibly because they are somewhere in the garage but I don't remember where I put them. If I find them, you can have them since I came to my senses and realized that I couldn't fit under my dash to hook up everything with an evaporator there.
