40 Ford Frame Questions

Hi Folks
Just purchased a 40 Ford Business Coupe. It came with a TCI mustang 2, a 4 link rear subframe and a pair of 2x3 frame rails(universal). My thoughts are to use the rear clip and the mustang2 front suspension, but the mustang 2 suspension is designed to fit the original 40's front rails.i have found places that supply the complete frame, but no where that sells just the rails.Any input as to what way I should be going, or where one could purchase the original style rails?

 

speedway motors has a complete frame and rails separate I believe

 

Get an original … not hard to find because they used the same basic one for 6 years.

 

Good advice. If you want new rails, I manufacture them (23 years). I can build you a pair of rails or even a pair of frame rail halves if that's what you want. PM me
