I'm having trouble fiquring out how to remove the H/L switch on my 40 sedan. I don't see any any ****on to push to release the shaft and I don't think the knob will pull off the shaft. I did a search but couldn't find the answer. Sure would appreciate some help.
    Thank you

My '42 PU had a slot in the body,I used a small flatblade to push it up, been years, but I think that's how I did it.

There is a hole on the side of the switch box behind the dash. Push a small nail into the hole and turn the knob at the same time.

Should have a hole in the back to insert a paper clip in, then pull out the knob, must start with knob pushed all the way in.

Thank you everybody. Once I found the small hole and pushed a pin in the shaft pulled right out.
