I picked up a reman 40 ford master, and ran into a bit of a problem. In order to attach a brake line to it, it requires an adapter. The threads are non tapered and about an inch into the master. What fitting do I need? I'm running 1/4 inch line. Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
Ive never been able to find it at a parts store , basically you are needing a banjo bolt that goes through the t that mounts at the back of the M/C the guys at your local parts store will not have a listing for it, You should be able to get it at a brake and clutch shop or some place like early ford or macs.
You need a fitting like this or the V shaped one and a banjo fitting goes thru it with a crush washer, then you run your lines to the fitting.
Check out C&G or Sacramento Ford. C&G have neat little exploded drawings on their site with can be most helpful if you need to look for options too.
This is the correct fitting , the banjo bolt that goes through the centre has an 1/8npt female thread in it to take the brake lamp switch. If you have no luck getting one , I have new ones on the shelf here ( New Zealand!) , let me know if I need to send you one . .
