Anyone know the wheelbase and track width for a 40 Ford 1/2 ton or 3/4 ton Panel. Not for sure which one it is. Should be the same as a pick up, I think. Also, does the 40 p***enger car front fenders, hood fit?

haha.. I was looking for similar info a few weeks ago.

40 1/2 ton should have same ch***is as car and truck..

I have a partial copy of the 1940 dealer salesmans book here that shows wheelbase as 112 which i think is universal for 40 cars

front fenders will be close.. I think there's a small difference.. but I BELIEVE either can be subs***uted with minor mods..

    search my old posts..

wheel base on a half ton is 112" has front sheetmetal similar to a car.
wheel base on a 3/4 ton is 122" and totaly different front sheetmetal.
also the sedan delivery looked like a car in front and only had 1 door in the rear, the panel looked different and had 2 doors in the back.

The 40-41 1/2 ton Panel and Pickup share the frame with the P***enger Cars. The front sheet metal is not the same but the swap has been done many times.
The 3/4 and 1 ton Panel and Pickup have a much heavier and longer frame and have a big bolt circle and 17-20 inch wheels. These use the heavier looking front end with separate headlamps on stands on the fenders.
See the back, pages 744-772, of the 28-48 Ford "Green Bible" for illustrations of the p***enger, commercial, and truck noses and specs about wheelbase etc.
