40 ford rear end ?

i need to replace the banjo rear end in my truck. any info on the width of that rear end, or any ideas of what i can put in there.

If you are going to convert to a open driveshaft setup......a 57 to 59 Ford car 9 inch is a great width. They are 58 inches .....



measured this way........a stock 40 Ford rear is 60 inches.
A early Ford Bronce is a great candidate too. 58 inches wide but has the stock 40 Ford wheel pattern ( 5 on 5.5 )
