7989ABB0-38A8-4E9B-8483-37592FEDFF56.jpeg Hey guys, I need some help with my window regulators and channels, they are the rear passenger ones, I’m wondering there is a rod/pin that sticks out and connects with the regulator on the channel and the regulator seems to have like a hook at the end, Does that pin go on top of that hook or under it? Thanks for any help

It’s been a minute since I’ve looked at those 40 regulators. But the rear windows on a 40 have what Ford called smokers glass.

Roll the window all the way up then about a half turn more and the glass would slide back horizontally opening a “vent” in the front edge of the glass.

I think the hook goes over the pin to make this work.

  3. I specifically did not take the regulators out when I replaced the glass in the quarter windows becasue of this. It was a giant pain in the as to get the glass in but also kept everything in time for the window vent to operate as intended. Luckily my regulators just needed cleaned and lubed.
