I have been helping a friend who is not well liquidate his stash, his spouse not well either. Lots sold here and elsewhere. Cars, pts etc. Just doing our best to help him-don't accept any $$ for this.
He has a NOS 40 std grille never installed-the center section is in a Ford box with receipt. We sold a very nice slightly used Drake for him a while back for $2000. Also sold a minty deluxe as well. I am not sure on this NOS one though. I know of one other(in my attic-not for sale)--only NOS ones I have ever seen.

I was lucky to snag a new Drake painted sides chrome center standard grille the last time he ran some. Keeping it stored safely away.

THX--I'm aware of Drake Deluxe and std hood piece now available. Just trying to help him out--NOS std grille is a dandy! The Deluxe grille we sold for him had the side louver pieces, chin and top support. The std was one with the chrome sides and chin piece

I also snagged a 40 Std. grille from Drake the last time they ran them…….I paid
$1250 at the time for “insurance “ if the need ever arose. After an incident in the grass median my insurance coverage (with the help of the shop I used) determined the damage to mine was worthy of a replacement which came in at $1750. I then used the one I had with painted sides which were then powder coated and now have a new chrome style as a back up along with the one which was damaged ever so slightly ( now repaired) that only needs paint or powder coat .
I haven’t decided which one to part with at this time……..
I’m glad I had the foresight to grab a spare BEFORE I needed it as availability can be an issue and having $$ in your hand is useless unless the parts you need an be had.
