I'm lowering my 40 Ford Convertible a bit. Just changing the springs to Durant Monoleaf's, good height adjustability. Keeping all else stock dimensions. Axle, hubs and brakes. Going to 15" rims with radials. What are some of the tire demensions that will clear. Currently looking at 165/80 for the fronts but would like to use a bit wider and shorter tire and 225/75 for the rears. Any suggestions or experiences with tire fitment on 40's?

Can't help you with tire sizes but that's one fine looking '40.

  3. IF you want radials: P 235-70 R15 rear, 185-15 front 5 inch and 7 inch rims.

Roadstar, what brand were the tires on your '40? They sure look just right.
