40' Ford window regulator is broke

    Help, my drivers door regulator broke. Any one have one ? As of late Ihave been driving my 40 tudor to work. I broke it where the pin goes though the handle. And the gl*** won't stay up any way. Any ome have any suggestions or regulator? Would apreciate any help.

    A regulator shouldn't be that hard to find.
    There were pinion repair kits made for these back when, often found at swap meets.
    In the mean time, pull the door panel and wire that gl*** up so your interior won't get wrecked.

    Repro suppliers still sell those handle-shaft repair kits. Maybe need a new spring at the same time?

    If push comes to shove, Drake offers a repo that looks decent. I bought his repo door latches for my coupe, and other than chasing the threads to clean them up, they fit perfect and work great. They are on sale too until the end of September........

    I've got one - it ain't perfect (has about three slightly worn teeth), but was working in my coupe until I found an NOS one.

    Here is a tech post I did a few years ago, this is I bet whats wrong with your regulator. I hope this helps. It has some great information, and guides you step by step.
