Heres a few prgress or lack of progress pics... depends on how look at it. Last weekend got the frontend under the car, and the night before last hung the paralells and the 9". Got her sitting on the gound to make sure everything is sitting like its supposed to be before I final weld the ass end in.

I dont feel like Im making much head way but for the short time Ive had the car I guess Im doing ok. I scored the old black and white interior off a guy who was putting his 40 through the bucket seat and tweed treatment. This stuff is cool and cleaned up really good. So here it is. Sorry for the crappy pics I have a problem with my 2.0 MP taking garage pics.

Nic that shit under the drip rail is just the remnants of the old rubber seal. No rust out.

Orange 54 thats a rear end built by Johns out of MI, 56" wide round back early style.

And yeah I dont plan on this one being on the trailer.

  15. I think the interior looks like crap.......... you should sell it to me for my '39..............why don't I ever come across shit like that.;)

Car looks sweet. What are you going to run for an engine.

What parallel leaf kit did you use...... or did you build your own? I'm looking for some templates to install the 57 9" I've got into mine

39coupe I think Ill hang on to my crappy interior, it goes perfect with the crappy car. I used the Posies kit it has 2 positions of ride height I have mine set at the highest right now. As far as the power plant goes its a small journal 327 running 2x4 offy and AFB's. Trans is a M-21. 3:50 posi in the rear.

Just so happens thats one of the projects for the day. My air compressor took a crap on me so I couldnt fix my paint mess from yesterday. So I reskinned my running boards, then I put in the new floor section. I ordered a Bitchen stock front floor section, but somehow got the rear part. I didnt even check it when I got it in I just stuck the box in the corner...wont do that again. So time goes by and the 7 day return time comes and goes before I even think about opening them up. I got my toeboards but the wrong section of the floor. No big deal I trimmed them up to make them work. I still have some welding and put in a seat mount plate then seam seal them up but they didnt turn out too bad.

A little more progress done on the coupe today, not as much as I wanted but here it is. Was going to finish the floorboards up and replace some of the lace in the top of the rockers. Put the seat in to figure out were I needed to put a reinforcement plate in the floor for the seat mount. Drove to town to get some cut off wheels and some more wire for the welder. Got back home and decided that since Ive already got the seat in I might as well get the column fitted. So after many trial fits and measureing I decided where the wheel would be most comfortable. I made a plate to mount to the firewall, and used 1 3/4 ID pipe that the actuall column will slide into and clamp in place. I have an intermediate shaft between the box and column and thought this would give the steering shaft a good solid mount. As far as the floorboards go well I didnt make it that far today.
