Found this pic on the web. Looks just like the issue I have. Looks like he notched the front crossmember.
This is what I ended up doing in case anybody is interested. Pulled out the V fender brace and put a curve it it to miss the hose. Cut a small arc out of the front crossmember to allow clearance as well. Grabbed some hose pieces I had laying around and taped up a mock-up hose. A Gates 20345 matched the mock up and it is in. Everything has plenty of clearance, nothing touches. I did not want to raise the radiator as it has brackets on the side that a factory brace connects to that runs to the V brace.
Do the same thing you did on top. 2 short sections of rubber connecting hose and a tube built to do the job. You can always make an oval section in tight spaces without flow compromise.
I have a 1940 Ford with a Chevy engine. It has a Walker radiator with a 90 degree lower connection which is fabricated so it leans back towards the engine. What hose will fir that application?
