This proven road car (2100 mile trip Md. to Mo. and back in 6 days for the ford 80th birthday 2020 ) offered at this time ( like the last time) to the most discriminating of buyers. The style of the era is well addressed in this impeccable example ( not impickable ) of the main stay of the 1940 ford line up,( 2 door standard sedan). Theres pride of ownership that comes with this one .From the subtle yet not boring, Washinton blue ( real close ) paint outstanding body lines , body gaps ,original style running boards, generous chrome highlighting the ever so popular body lines.Atention to detail is easily notice thruout on this one. Once the bonnet is lifted the highly modified 8ba sits strikingly in a nicely detailed engine bay revealing many upgrades for performance , reliability and a pleasurable driving experience. Undercarriage shows well featuring improvements including a dropped axle ,spring mods , upgrades to brake system , steering, trans, clutch, fresh banjo etc. Inteior shows well being covered in a blue material machine s***ched in correct rolls and pleats ,accentuating the beautiful blue paint . Cl***ic instruments electronic retro 40 gauges were the correct choice for this build and give the driver the proper info needed to monitor engine performance and fluids.Also equipped with modern blinkers ,heater , radio front lap belts and hidden toggle switches. This 40 standard is rolling on fresh Diamondback bias look radials 550x16 " and 700x16 " mounted on original 16" 40s steel wheels .Ever popular 40 V8 standard caps complete the package . Built in the timeless traditional style that never looks out of place at any car gathering. If anything can be said in a negative vain of this standard it will be limited to current owners ( me) observations during the almost seven yrs of ownership. #1 Only metal or paint repair ever needed and completed since ownership limited to (spare tire well .) #2 Interior floor ( no repairs seen or needed ) was not freshly painted during frame off by previous owner ? As to why ? ( got me on that one ? ) #3 New regulators front windows nothing changed side smokers windows ( regulators). #4 Mufflers, duels off Fenton headers , have considered changing mufflers not loud but a couple holes ( rest of exhaust perfect . #5 considered changing tube shocks solely because not sure how long they've been installed . This 40 is as advertised and would be a great addition to anyone's collection or to help sooth many a car guys 40 fettish. Sound and solid , Get in and go ! Have at it ! , thank you ,and God bless .
