'41-'42 Ford COE Emblem

    :)Does anyone know whether the emblem on the side ('41-'47) COE vent doors is the same as the one they use on the dash of the '41 Ford 1/2 ton? The ones they sell on "flea-bay" are about the same size, but the holes look to be spaced further apart. I have one COE original that is not chromed and would like to get another one or replace it with new chrome ones. I'm keeping the vent doors stock. Any kind of help would be greatly appreciated.:D

    They are different for two reasons.

    1. As you said the holes are in different locations, this is caused by the bracket welded to the back of the emblem. The COE door has the holes near the edge of the emblem, the dash has the holes further inwards.
    2. The edge of the emblems on the doors are slightly cut to create a curve and the dash one is straight.

    The exterior of the emblem is similar otherwise.
