I had some computer problems, I hit the like button at least a dozen times but only registered one.
What a great car, I had not seen a color picture before.

Why thank you Dan, I appreciate the compliment. I have built and owned this car for 42 years and it has been a huge part of my life. There are several pictures of it on this thread in different parts as well as threads all over the HAMB. It’s powered by a 427 big block Chevy and I’m currently getting ready to put a new interior in it. I painted it in 1991. The paint has held up well as I have driven the car all over the western US. It sits that low all the time on a dropped axle. Here’s another picture.
I can post more but I’m kinda bashful.
    Thanks again, Dan

I bought some of the wipe on clear coat stuff and figured I'd try it on my 41. Came out pretty good. Put a few streaks on the roof so I've got to give that one more pass. 20241014_075845.jpg 20241014_084230.jpg

Thanks. I like the look of it. I’ve always been a black wheel guy but I think it goes well with the car!

Took my ‘47 out yesterday for the first time, man did it feel good, after waiting so long for the right one to come along. Here is one in front of the grade school I went to. IMG_3176.jpeg

I call these years the Forgotten Fords. They don't seem to get the recognition of the earlier Ford models'. This is my rendition of my 46 convertible. 2" chop with a working top, headlights and tailights frenched, most of the chrome removed, 1941 dash. Powered by a 5.0 Mustang HO engine, 9" rear, Real Wheels.

This is my 47 club coupe I purchased it 5 or 6 years ago as a roller with the chassis finished and motor/trans installed but of unknown quality. The plan was to have a traditional looking rod but change the wheels etc depending on how I felt in the day.
The original black paint was hiding under the primer and took 112 hours to wet sand off over my Christmas holidays, I’ve done a few paint touch ups and had to paint the visor and louvred bonnet to match.
The running gears all chev with a small block 350 and 350 turbo trans and 10 bolt rear end, the front suspension is out of a Mitsubishi van with a Mazda power steering rack (I’m in New Zealand) and converted to right hand drive.
It’s not a show car and gets driven and handles well it’s a work in progress and a new interior will be the next thing to do….. until then it’s Mexican blankets.

It’s weird how the color changes with the different light during the day
