Features 41-48 Ford and Merc Picture Thread!

Here is a 48 I just picked up and YES the headlights are getting thrown away!
Will be lowering soon.

Nice ride! Got any idea what the outside rearview mirrors came off of? I've got those wobbly things that attach to the door frame. Can't keep them where they need to be. 

 

Here's a 41 a friend had awhile back. Had small block ford, 9inch and I think a M2 clip

 

I'm on the fence about keeping my '47, but I think some mods will make me like it more. In the future would be lowering, blackwall bias, driveline mods and interior mods.

 

alanp561 that mirror looks similar to a stock mount mirror here’s a repop one

 

A quick search came up with Bob Drake, Dennis Carpenter and Summit as suppliers.

 

The side trim on the Fords and Mercurys of those years has beautiful grooves in it . The cowl mirrors look like an after thought from the factory. The base is plain .
