hello, Does anyone know a good place to get sheetmetal replacement parts for 41-48 Fords? thank you in advance, Pete
Dennis Carpenter website. A fellow hamber put me onto it, you can download catolog and they have decent prices. I have a 47 panel that I will be getting some items for.
Here's a link. Mark has some nice used sheet metal and some NOS. http://www.marksfordparts.com/ You cna also try Bob Drake http://store.bobdrake.com/index.html Hope they help. What are you looking for?
EMS also makes several patch panels for the problem areas. The lines in the stampings aren't as crisp as the originals but it is better than nothing (wouldn't have been able to do anything with my car without them). Bitchin also makes a rocker box replacement (in 3 sections) which is another typical rust area. Good luck.
well....im looking for rocker boxes...and just misc parts...im building a hot rod so its all up to my imagination....heres where im at......in the rough....
Bitchin sells the rockers boxes, good heavy gauge stuff. Also good heavy gauge floor pans etc. http://www.bitchinproductsinc.com/ .
Pete, Looks like you like them low slung . . You have a good start to a hot rod. Looking forward to updates as you build it.
We recently bought the rocker/running board skins from Dennis Carpenter for our '47 Merc build...very heavy, well made.
