Hot Rods 41-48 ford shock link dimensions

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by thebearded1!, Sep 18, 2023.

  1. I'm looking to purchase some shock links for my hot rod project and I believe I have 41-48 ford car shocks. I believe these shock links may work for my car but wanted to see if someone could give me some dimensions so I can confirm it's what I need.

What is the distance from center of stud to center of stud? They say length is 4/75" but not sure if they mean stud to stud or overall length

What is the diameter of the larger unthreaded portion of the stud? It looks like the holes in my shocks are slightly larger than 1/2"

    Thanks for your help!

The listed length is center of studs. My '41 Merc uses 4.75" links. The unthreaded portion is a taper that matches the tapered hole in the shocks and mounts. I believe the tapers are all the same on the various length links.
