Question- are the pickup and closed car visor brackets the same? I think mine may have been inadvertently thrown out....they were rotted junk but I could have used the frames, dammit. My online sleuthing has not came up with a replacement for cars, but plenty for trucks. My thoughts are if the 3 screw holes have the same layout I can use them, just not sure. Anyone know??
Maybe see if someone can make a template and email it to you? My '47 was missing it's sunvisors, I found a pair of chrome arms at a swap meet and took a chance on them, they fit fine. I'm sure they aren't all the same across all cars though.
NO! Those visors out in the real world (that I know of): 1935-48 Closed car (Coupe & Sedan) 1938-47 Pickup 1948-52 Pickup 1941 Early Convertible 1941 Late -1948 Convertible
So are you saying all these have the same screw layout? Sorry I just don't understand what you're saying here.
I am just trying to find our which brackets/rods I could use to have interior sun visors. I'm not sure why but I cannot find any for a 41-48 closed car. Lots for trucks....if the screw layout is the same I could make them work. I see it's a 3 screw triangle layout just like the car, but not sure if the hole would match up. OR....I would be OK using any others just need to know what will fit.
Well at least you are looking for inside sun Visors and not parts for a 'frost shield" that looks butt ugly and isn't Hamb friendly as far as traditional customs go. I did find these https://www.joesantiqueauto.com/sun-visor-kit-1935-1948-68-47380
Thanks. Out of stock, like all the others I've found. Seems strange, I guess I'll just buy ones for a pickup and try.
