I can tell already that this car is gonna be legendary. Looks great. Any idea what color you're gonna paint it? Is it powered by a Cadillac?

    Fantastic!!!

It looks so good lower to the ground (and yes the rear need a bit more).
The full fade-waways look fantastic, and I'm glad you removed the hood scoops again. Those where not in place in this otherwise period perfect custom. This car will get a lot of attention when done.. and hopefully will get others inspired to built similar early styled customs....

Sam would be staring at this one for a long time...!!!

its powered by a 390 caddy,,,,,not sure on the color yet,,,i think a really dark burgundy or deep eggplant purpleish....wont be ready for paint until probably next winter,,i plan on finishing up the metalwork, doing the mud, and then putting it in some dark satin color until it gets paint,,,,just ordered some 4" blocks,,,i already have 3's in there with three leaves removed,,need another inch for "the look",,i may have to raise the driveshaft hump though,,,,(and check my pinion angle too, im sure)...glad you guys like it so far

haha,,,,the sand is a reference to lowering my shoebox ford,,,it didnt sit quite low enough,,so linda and i went to lowes and bought some bags of sand,,she held the ruler and i put several bags of sand in the trunk until we achieved just the right look,,the caddy has 3" blocks and 3 leaves removed already..i just ordered some 4" blocks,,,that should do it,,,if not, theres always the bags of sand,,,,,and yes linda,,,,this is just practice for your hudson :)

A HAMB Classic in the making. You really got the proportions right. The only trouble with the fade aways is that they hide the work on the rockers/door jamb area which is a work of art too. Put a picture up of that so we can drool even more. It's good to see the Caddy back at your shop, seeing it is the high point of my commute.

Yep, I used buick side panels. My shop is so full of junk, its hard to get any pictures, hope to roll her outside soon.

Did you weld the truck lid shut, Curious? That is going to be one killer frontend, but I hope you got a buddie with a Chrome shop.

    Like Larry says man "Giturdone"

yes,,the trunk is welded shut,,,westergard built a car for a guy named bruce glenn (40 ford, i think) that had the trunk welded shut,,,always liked the way that looked,,smmmmooooth,,,,,the car will be basically a two seater,,the trunk will be accessed the same way a business coupe is,,,

    yeah,,no kidding,,the chrome will cost a fortune,,

did you build rockers, jambs yet?

The Buick fadeaways fitup flush with the bottom of the rockers, so they just overlap, and I liked the look like the rockers were clipped.
