    End of week one.
A busy week ahead with the rad install and welding in the fender mounts.
As far as customizing, I managed to drop the coils and started shaving and thats about it. This week its weld up them trim holes. My cokers should be here too along with the hollywoods. Week 1.jpg

I'm a tough nut to crack, but your Photoshop is beautiful!
    Still, I would:
    I) Mold the rear front-fender seam
II) Round the rear hood corner
III) Extend the hood waterfall to the grille

I believe this would create a more organic, cohesive appearance, unique unto itself.

I'm with you in the fender weld and fills.
The hood venting may stay... we'll see when.its in one colour.

I'm using the 14 inch wheels. I'll sandblast them and primer them prior to painting them pearl white. Why white... it makes the white walls appear bigger and at 2 3/8" it can use the added thickness.

happy Easter weekend one and all. tomorrow I can finally get back to it.
Guess I'm going to have to start thinking of end paint colour long before I actually need it. 20180402_141937.jpg

testing the skirts. Once the new tires are on I'll know how much to drop the rear. 20180404_163435.jpg

"Epic change" is not an over-statement!
Getting the lights dead-nuts accurate is mandatory, but deceiving difficult.

Frankly, 14'' wheels are beyond my grasp. (But that's just me. I'm glad there are others out there!)

agreed no. it's cut once measure twice.
the one in the video blunt nosed the tin. looks good.
I'm thinking of reshaping the tin to follow the headlight more accurately.

By way of illustration (#III), the '40 Chevy hood extends all the way to the grille, without an intervening seam. Klean!

luv the thread . ive got a bone stock 41 . been wondering where to go as well . have a 73 nova been saving to use .after looking and reading , wonder if that's a good direction . to wide ? bad frnt mount ? maybe the 53 drop is a better direction ? luv where yours is going . I'm wanting to start on mine . thinking 250 pwr glide right now

I'm not fussy on it. I guess the bonus is the power steering but it is wider than stock. It also means having to cut up your inner fender wells to clear. New rad mounts, fender mounts, bumper mounts. (all this was done by the goober who built it and needed redoing).
if there' a mustang kit available for the stock frame I think it would be better.

There is a mustang to fit everything. Your wheels will tuck in nice. I would check on turning radius. I totally over did mine.

Wow it's got the Chevrolet factory ultra rare rectangle fog lamps. I've got a pair that I've been meaning to restore and sell but have never got to them yet.

yes , ive done a couple nova/ chevelle clips .the one with the chevelle , 50 f1 would have been way better with the rear steer . the 55 burbn , w/nova rear steer , would have been better w/frnt steer . but either way , never made bmpr mounts look the way I would have liked .thnkfly their low ,and out of site . no internet then . or at least not for me . now much easier to ask questions before I'm committed . not much room in fenders now . w/wider track probably very limited on tire/rim choices . how much drop can be had w/ 54 spindles ,and cut springs . I like pinto ifs , but always have to stay in broke budget . 4 dr 54s are still out there cheap . until you look for one . also are 41/46-8 coupes all same body . look the same to me .?? thinking about cutting mine up . maybe 3 in. . to much??

Bill, I'm snug with 205/75 tires up front. I cut a coil and a half out of mine and it dropped inches.
I have used aerostar coils in lot of cars including 3 57 fords (fairlane 500 big block, ranch wagon big lock and ranchero with a 289), 2 50 for and a 50 merc. Each time they dropped the care 3 nches and improved the ride tremendously. I would have used hem in my 60 olds but they were too lite so used 67 firebird 400 coils with the same results.

Check out the Camaro front clip install very carefully. The front tread width of the Camaro is a little wide and the factory "top hat" frame is thin stuff. Make sure the two are well gusseted and look for cracks.

yes , on my f1 I have torque thrust 2s . .had to get special order 5 inch backspace to get a 7 inch on it . still barely fits inside the fender .the 41 stock wheels are near the limit frnt and rear . I thnk the nova clip ,73 disc , is about 2 in. wider than stock , so might be real tight . the wheels on the f1 where double the price of standard offset

That' a little better. Now the rad isn't hanging 2 inches below the front pan. It looks deceiving but it' in straight ( the hood latch plate is crooked).
The rad is constructed as a replacement for a 64 nova. Not a lot of pretty under the hood. I'll keep this little 305 for now while our gas prices are dancing around $6.75 a gallon. The 350 crate can sit quietly on the side. I'm kind of a low and slow kinda guy. Besides, folks will have enough to look at on the outside.
