I need some insight on value. I have a chance to buy a 1941 customized pickup. They sectioned about 6" out of the bodywork, new frame with disc brakes all around, four link rearend and Mustang type front-end, fresh 350 and rebuilt 700r.

He is asking 11k. I feel like it's worth it, but not something I typically deal with.

    Thoughts?

my first thoughts is whata shame to cut up a solid truck.will you still fit in it comfortably.second thoughts are about cooling.a lot of underhood vents are gone and wher e will the heat from the rad exhaust escape from .will it try to open the hood at speed .

Not bad, not bad at all. Can't tell how much is required to finish but if reasonable it is one to go for.

If it is a true 41 there won’t be any lead in the factory welded seams . Very kool pickup

  5. Almost looks like they just nipped the 6 inches off the bottom of the cab then raised the fenders up without sectioning those.
Personally it's not my style so I can't give you an honest opinion on it's value, but if you like it and think it's worth it then buy it.
I've cut everything on mine except the cowl, I love it but others not so much. Lol
