Well I bought her, sight unseen! The elusive '41 Chevy Special Deluxe Coupe de Carlo arrives at home base 9/16-11 1941 Chevrolet S.D. Coupe, with some custom bodywork, mounted on a 78 Monte frame, hi-po 350 SBC, 350 Trans. Shall make another fine addition to our Chevy family : ) She is pretty much rust free but needs some attention, mostly spring work up front so the tires don't rub, then some kinda running boards and almost a complete interior, there are recent custom black vinyl door panels and she has working power windows, and the gas tank looks recent too...bonus! Somebody hacked the front wheelwell beads too, probably trying to get the tires to stop rubbing.....Idiots!.....I've not checked yet but I suspect the springs are chopped because she sets really low, looks nice but it makes an awful racket turning...lol I would surely appreciate any advice as i'm fairly new to this, with only one halfast resto under my belt. Will upload more pics of the frontend and wheel wells, I have no idea how to fix the hacked beads!
Very nice! Subscribed! There are a good many 41's showing up on the forum. Keep us up to date on what you're doing with it.
Hi swfl I used 3/8 rod welded to the inside of my front fenders. it was't to bad to get bent into shape once they were welded on the front end took shape and was easy to HAMBer and dolly
Nice car. Looks like they changed the front parking lights to round vice the stock rectangle. Looks cool. Good luck with it. Paul
It looks pretty good. Stock steelies might bring the tires in enough to clear where they rub with those car trailer wheels.
