41 chevy coupe

got a new project 41 chevy coupe need help on best rear end and suspension to use. any body been there . thanks in advance has 350 sbc with th350trans

 

'68-"74 Nova rear is really popular for these. Leaf springs and the width is good; on my '46 even the driveshaft fit without cutting.

 

my 40 chev coupe is running a dana 60, 70 roadrunner rear (fits very nice), coil overs, and very beefy ladder bars. 410 sbc, 4500 stall 350. seems to be holding up well.

 

my BNL chevy (47 chevy coupe) runs posie springs and a 79 nova rear..

stock 50 chevy 5 lug wheels and a driveshaft from a 55 chev (shortened 1.5 inches)

not to hijack, but what did you use to get you car to bare metal and shine so nice? im trying to do this on my 39 olds and im not having very much success
