Thank's for all info so far. I've decided to go with an almost bolt in repair to replaces the poor old 216, I located a '59, 235 , and also got the whole drive line ( three speed manual and rear axle ) exept for the drive shaft, from a '59 chevy truck I think all i can use is the engine?, the rest is for barter or sale, unless i can use any of it in my coupe. i know about the adapter plate for the water pump but is there any thing else i need to do before swapping these engines? i am hoppping to simply change the bell housing and accesories and install it. any feed back is appreciated for putting the '59 truck 235 into a '41 master deluxe coupe.
