Hello everyone! Thank you for your time in reading this post. My wife & I are looking for the best donor car to fit our 41 Chevy Roadster. We are on a budget & can not afford a full restoration so we are looking to take as many short cuts as we can to save money & time but we do not want to compromise our safety. We bought this project car as a rolling ch***is & we are basically starting from scratch. If we can find a donor car, frame, etc.. that already has the majority of parts in place that would be great! We want this car to be as dumb as possible, straight forward, no computers, just very basic & SIMPLE. Thank you in advance for any suggestions or recommendations for our first build!

Welcome from Stillwater. Do lots of reading and use the search function a lot, this will help you get to know the site and find answers to your questions. As for looking for a donor car look in Craigslist,Trade papers, ebay and cl***ifieds in your newspapers.

Thank you guys! As for the donor car, frame, etc.. looking for an exact year & model. The latest I have heard is that an S-10 is not a good fit but an 86 El Camino will do the job. I will be posting pics as soon as I learn how.
