That's a great bead roller. What's the throat depth on it? Looks like 4 feet.

  5. I need a frame like that for my ride. Guy before me cut out the x-member and then boxed the nose with a nova, but it was done all wrong. The rails are too bent to try to replace the x-member. grrr In time!

  6. Yeah, real lousey job with the Nova clip, the rails are buckled and not worth the effort to straighten them out and box them then fab up new crossmembers. We haven't got that kind of equipment anyway. We just missed out on a 41 frame here on LI. Pete's got a lot of friends in the roundy round circle and they've got the shops and materials to help him get it all set up. Only a matter of when. Maybe he can get a government bailout? Nah, he's one of the honest ones, they'd never give him one.

Skirts fit nicely. I can't wait to see more progress pictures.

  10. Thanks guys...............I don't like the tail lights myself, I'll try and talk the owner out of the idea.
We bought a '41 frame and ended up using only the rails, fabed the rest............

Nice looking fab work. See how much people here pay attention to what is posted and just go off in the wrong direction from what's been explained in the initial post? Happens a lot around here.

Your right about shooting the person who would use the poor street rod looking tail lights. Street Rodders have different way of looking at things, it's not my style and their just too many Street Rodders to shot all of them.
This car has so much going for it a very cool ride. CRUISER .

Man....that frame is built like a brick shithouse !....I wish mine was that cool....Today I went to see a buddy who's working on a customer's car.....a shoebox, with a beautiful chop, and some really nice custom body mods with split 55 Pontiac bumpers, and some traditional touches that make it demand respect......then the customer installed a DVD player complete with under-dash flat screen and a billet steering wheel that would make "pimp my ride" blush......what can ya do ?........
