I have a stock 41 ford and i want to lower the front. Can i get a 4 inch dropped axle that is a direct replacement so i can leave the steering and wishbone as is.Thanks

I was going to do the same thing on my 46, but I think I have come up with a better/easier solution. Speedway sells a modified front crossmember that drops the front end 3 inches, so you can leave the suspension alone. It won't work with a flathead, but I am not using one anyway. Only costs a little over $100 I think.

    Just a suggestion.

Thanks I believe the 41 axle is narrow than a 46 i have already put in a reverse eye Spring but it is not low enough. I am trying to make it as easy as possible as I do not want to stray to much from the original.

Yes you can. I got a dropped axle on an exchange basis from Mor-Drop in Calif for my 41' Ford convert. There are a few others dropping axles including Andy - Thunderbirdesque here on the HAMB.

You will also need to bend the steering arms down...

  6. Sid in Oklahoma does a pretty good job of dropping one. A 4" drop shouldn't be a problem and he may even do an exchange for a quicker turn around if he has a '41 already.

I am not sure if anyone repops those but you are way better off using the original Henry anyway. You will have to bend your steering arms to keep your geometry correct and clear everything but that's really no biggy.
