Hopefully we'll have time to check out an In 'N Out Burger......this schedule we're following is fairly drastic, but great fun.

 

mmmmmm In 'N Out Burger! Best burgers on the planet! They're all over the place and well worth the visit. lol

 

Had another busy day today. Bart wanted to check WCC, so we went there first after an early breakfast and a 100 mile drive to LA. After that we checked out Circle City Hot Rods where we met up with Jimmy White. Then drove to Downey where we spent a few hours checking out cars and eating a great burger at Bob's Broiler. What a great place! And another great day here in CA!

Everyone seems to shrink temporarily when I stand next to them.

 

Looks like you've been having a blast in California. Try not to eat too much of our junk food while over here.

 

We're having a great time! But Bart and I have a deal that we must at least eat one hamburger and a coke a day. So far we're keeping that promise.

 

It was another busy but great day here in CA! After an early breakfast at the Studio Diner in San Diego, Bart and I met up with Rich. (slmlrd here on the Hamb). He is just an awesome and friendly guy, taking all the time required to tell us about his previous projects and off course his fantastic 40 Plymouth coupe. He invited us to come to his tattoo shop and check it out. Also here, Rich and the other guys working there, were awesome and made us very welcome. Thank you Rich. (a bit difficult to see, but in the last pic Rich is holding a very sharp razor blade.....)

 

Well today was the big day. The first day of the Goodguys show here in Del Mar and it was awesome! My brother in law joined us for just one day and we were amazed at the amount of high quality cars. Here's a very short impression. More pics tomorrow!

Hey Eric, hit one of the In and Out restaurants! They're about as close to the old skool burger joints as you can get. Wish we had one here in Hawaii, I'd be there all the time.

Wow,looks like you have a pretty neat vacation there!

 

I hung out with Eric and Bart on Thursday and on Saturday at the good guys show. A couple of real great guys!! Seemed like wed known each other for years. When it came time to say goodbye yesterday, I was kinda bummed.

Real people are a diamond in the rough these days around here, but I found a couple! Eric, it was a real pleasure meeting you, you give car guys a good name. Enjoy the rest of your vacation, and we will meet up next time you're out- for sure!!

 

Well, Bart and I did it. We went to In 'N Out Burger and ordered the "double double animal". The animal part is a fairly well known secret ordering code, giving you some extra bits and pieces in the burger. And yes, it was a great burger! Thanks for the advise guys!

Well it's nearly time to go back home to the Netherlands with more than 300 pictures of cars......some I will post some later in the week. We did meet up with some other great people, Rick Dore, Charley Hutton and Barry White. I probably spent close to 20 minutes talking to Charley trying to find a good color for my car. And yes, we did find one........
