Hey everyone. I just bought a 41 Plymouth Deluxe 2dr sedan with the original flathead six. Can anyone tell me the specs on this motor? Displacement, Hp, tourque, etc.. Also is there anything i can do to beef it up a little? maybe twin or triple carb intakes, headers, idk, is there anything out there? I plan on eventually swapping in a small block 8, but untill i get the cash im going to keep it original, and would like to see maybe a little more power out of it. Also, the guy who had it put in a 12 volt alternator, and it seems like it skips and backfires . Could this be because he put in a `12 volt alternator and is still using the original 6 volt coil? If not what else could it be?
