I have searched the HAMB and viewed many pictures, however; I have a few questions regarding a '41 Willys Gasser P/U Frame: 1) Is the WB of a '41 Willys P/U 110" ? 2) What is the approxiamtely measurement for the notch, or the kick in the rear of the frame ? 3) Ocassionally there appears to be a slight 'Z' in the front frame rails around the firewall area, what is this approxiamtely angle/measurement ? 4) Width apart for the "main frame" rails ? Anyone have a Willys Tail Gate for sale ????? Anyone, Thx In Advance....
Just so you know, the wheelbases are 37-9 have a 100", 40 has a 102", and the 41-2 have the 104" wheelbase. The frames for each year are the same on the coupes, pickups and sedans. The 41-2 frames are wider in the back than the other years. The Panella bros. truck has a 57" long bed and the rear fenders, axle centerline is centered on the bed. As for a tailgate, you can buy an unscripted 41 chevy bed, they are exactly the same as a Willys bed, also the front panel and the tailgate hinges are the same. You modify the Chevy stake pockets to match stock Willys as well.
