Just notified that the infamous "Texan" 41 Willys is up For Sale in San Antonio Texas. This was the project started in the early eighties to promote new products by several highly recognized part suppliers in the Street Rodding Industry. The project was never completed as it was continuously evolving thru time with new ideas. As a result, It caused some bad waters between all the suppliers who had donated their new products in high hopes of a big debut by all the magazine coverage and the builders of the car. It was said the suppliers never received their products back when the car disappeared from the public eye.
I apologize, but I do not engage in social media so I cannot confirm this. However, I was told that it may be advertised locally thru craigslist, facebook or offerup. I personally saw it in the early 80's during it's build stage and can say what an incredible and state of the art build it was then.
Mr DDDenny, Thank You for the correction. And, I apologize for the misinterpretation of the term Social Media.

Maybe its just me, but I'd feel a little uneasy about buying a car that was put up for sale where some of the components acquired were through ill-gotten means and dubious understandings about ownership.
Always wondered what happened to it, now I know the rest of the story. For that price, it won't be a quick or easy sale.
