42-48 Ford Front Bumper Tuck

    I am wanting to bring the front bumper in closer to the body on my 46 Ford Coupe. If anyone has done a front bumper tuck on the 42-48s, I would sure appreciate any tips. Steve
     
  2. Yes-I have tucked mine in 1 1/2 inches-the bumper irons will need to be re-drilled and re-contoured-spring steel-not easy to work with. I had a Blacksmith rework mine to my specs. You could make new irons out of mild steel that is easier to drill and shape. Also have to shorten the splash aprons if you are using them-
    I think the look is worth it-subtle but noticable.
