    Hello Hambers
Hey guys/girls I am new to this site and hotrods in general. I have a pretty extensive background in Vw, but I wanted to change directions and build an American car.

I'm trying to plan this build in the best possible way I can without breaking my bank in the process.

But to start i would like some suggestions on how to place the 425 in the car?
I really don't want to stretch the frame because I want to run a stock hood minus the sides.

Any suggestions on firewall modifications and engine placement?

Any pics or ideas would be greatly appreciated

    Thanks a lot

Check out the pictures in the Blog link given below. A 425/SP400 in a 30 A. Retaining the stock hood and wheelbase. A bit snug.

    I have a 401 nailhead in a 28 Model A RPU.
It is full fendered and has a full hood.
The engine is set back 4 " with a buble for
the distributor. The 425 nailhead is the same
    as a 401. It runs a T400 ****** with a switch pitch.
You can email me for mor info.

Welcome. Nice intro...I've been planning the same for a few years, slowly working on it as time allows.

Rolph's build thread was legendary...too bad all the pics are no longer with it. Here are a few I had saved...and welcome aboard.
