I know how much all the hemi mopar stuff is going for lately and my buddy bought some 426 hemi heads that are suppose to be in good shape they need to be reconditioned and such but how much are they worth all I could find on ebay was repop ones. Thanks

  2. They're worth whatever you're willing to give for 'em.

    I'll go 150.00 today.:D

  3. FYI - they like to crack between the spark plug threads and valve seats when run hard (i.e. fuel)...

If they're not chracked, a general guideline might be what ever the repos cost plus 30%

Especially with the 426 Hemi stuff, sometimes it's a good idea to post them for sale on Moparts or another mopar-only sight, or even Ebay, and post that you've got a set of heads with casting #........ and date code #........, and that you want to trade them for a set of new Mopar Performance castings, or Indy Cylinder Head castings. There are resto guys out there that would be happy to make that trade, especially with the prices Mopars are bringing these days. It would work out very well--your buddy would have fresh 426 heads that are superior to the originals in many ways (flow, port design, etc), and that don't need any work before he can run them, and a resto guy gets the heads he's been searching for.
Give it a try--what's the worst you could be out? A little time. But there's possibly a lot to gain.

He just bought them because he thought he could get some money out of them and I don't think that he wants to trade them
