426 MOPAR Marine engine.... Info needed...

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by 'Flyin' Dutchman', Jun 6, 2004.

  1. Can these engines be used in cars easily? I don't know **** about 'em. Some guy overhere has one for sale and one of my buddies thought it might be something for his Roadrunner project...

    426. That must not always be a HEMI right..?

This is what I know about it:

1966 MOPAR 426 engine Marine version, 12:1 compression, all original with heads. A double intake with carbs comes with it.

    CODE MAR426 1019B82L

    Thanks!

It can be a wedge like this. As long as it isn't a counter-rotating motor out of a dual setup he can use it as is. If it's been used in salt water check it carefully internally.
