so what...it's a fucking mustang. BAH!

i could spend half that $60k engine on my '84 delta and spank the SHIT outta most anything on the road. gotta give him credit on the install, looks clean as hell but it's still a bellybutton on wheels.

Thanks for the correction. That explains why I thought I remembered them having a pushrod problem with it on race day:rolleyes:

As an aside: Follow this link for a bit more on the Cammer. I understand that this proprieter is well on his way into the development of new Cammer parts. The great thing is that all the pieces will be available including the already available race capable blocks from Shelby, Genesis and Pond. When the original 427 SOHC's were run in top fuel and funny car they were very much at the top of the performance charts but they suffered a bit from having a block designed to be as light as possible while running in the confines of NASCAR's carburated gasoline rules. The 427 SOHC's would make enough power to tear themselves up then, that issue has been addressed.

A common car, eh? How many others have a 427 SOHC in them? The engine makes the car...moreso than spoilers & decals.

Anything with a cammer is cool. Anything.

Got a buddy who has more than a couple - has one in a beautiful 61 Starliner & was featured in Super Ford back in the '80s. Sadly, he hardly drives it at all...

I was looking for a pic of a prototype V-12 Cammer that Ford made during the mid '60's and I ran into this thread. I got bent out of shape 'cause I own one of those new stangs.
