Old thread but still relevant to some.
I have a 57 210 wagon. I'm a chevy guy, don't know much about the 440 chrysler. All I know about them is they sound amazing with the firing order especially with a cam.
I'm thinking about a engine/ trans setup just to go crusing. I have a complete lb7 duramax with all the wiring and computers. That would be an interesting setup, I don't have a trans for it. When I bought my property it has a rated out rv abandoned. I was bummed to find it was mopar. I was hoping for a solid 350 chev. Or 454. Turns out to be a 72 peace arrow with the 440 and auto not sure how to tell what trans it is. But the wiring is all melted. I hotwired the coil and starter with some gas down the yap it fired up. I'm thinking that answers my question.
Am I concerned about resale value not the slightest. Is going with the duramax more "chevy" not hardly its an Isuzu. The point of the story is, just get the car on the road, bring it to the shows, ruffle some feathers, if I had an old chevy i6 laying around I'd slap it in just as fast. I'm not looking to go fast or impress anyone, I just want to cruise my old car, just so happens to be going with a 440 this time, sounds like it will be a smile maker once it's up and on the road.

You have a 727 Loadflite trans, this is the truck version of a TorqueFlite. Same overall unit.

Finnigan put a hemi in a 55. Rather see a 440 MoPar in there instead of a diesel truck motor…
