46 Chev Truck

    I found a 46 chev truck that is rather complete and rust free, It is however sitting on a 1 ton frame and it is basically a dump truck,( complete with dump bed ) My question is the sheet metal for the cab, fenders and hood the same size for the 1/2 ton or close to it...

    fenders most likely not. Thier usually bigger to accomadate the truck tires

    So do you think the rest of the cab would be the same the 1/2ton proportions and if the fenders were switched it would look normal?<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:eek:ffice" /><o:p></o:p>

    Most of the body parts except fenders are very close to the same from 39 to early 47.Burl.

    Yep they are exactly the same size... except the fenders and probably the running boards.
