<HR style="BACKGROUND-COLOR: #e5e5e5; COLOR: #e5e5e5" SIZE=1> <!-- / icon and title --> <!-- message -->i am n the middle of fixing a 1946 fleetmaster for a good ole-fashion driver, i have already done the heights front end, smoothed most of the body trim, so anyway my question for you guys is how do i go about centering the rear wheels n the middle of the wheel wells. i have replaced the rear end with a late model one and it is forward no less than a inch and it is driving me crazy. is all i do is to redrill the spring blocks to relocate the rear end or ????????????? please help
I put a Nova rear in my 47, that is what I did, just drilled a hole about 3/4 of an inch, naturally I had to do it both ways, wheel is centered now. Mine I left the stock front end and have a 3.1 V6 and 700R4 in it. Just got it running, should be a good cruser, I think.
well i am running a heights front end, with 2in lower spindles. since the car is so heavy to start with i did do a lot of reinforcing on the crossmemeber, and coil overs on the front. it now has a 355 from jegs and a 350 trans, the rear is a 308, i put the rear end in in n the spring so i could drive it and it has never been centered and it seems like it is the first thing i see when i look at it, (kind of like a big ole boil on my xxx) and i hate it. it does drive real nice and not to high on the rpm's and yes they r a real kool cruiser at least i think...... i like it as much as my 31 model fordor. an my wife does not complain when we r n it. lol
