Hey guys! Been a member but not very active, But i just got my hands on a 1946 (or early 47?) heavy duty chevy truck....As it sits it was an old well drilling truck...still has the drilling flatbed on it with all of the old equipment. Its quite rough but its there and the price was right. Im going to use the cab and hood and maybe some other trinkets to build a little ripper but i need help with info on the front suspension...im planning on starting with a frame/drop axle from a 50 chevy pickup (cuz' i have one available)....this sound promising? I want it silly low so i was thinking of going with a suicide front axle setup...again...am i on the right path? I am a bodyman/painter/jackofalltrades and have introduced many o' framerail to the pavement but never done anything with a straight/drop axle style suspension. Any and all help would be GREATLY aprreciated. Also, if anybody has any interest on anything in or on the truck i will be parting alot of it out. let me kno, and thanks again!!!!!!!
ALSO I WILL POST SOME PICS SOON!!!!!!!!
